Dance in Tarasomnium
The A-Academy invites emerging performance and dance artists to take part in a virtual production project set within the Tarasomnium — a spatially conceived space for thinking and experience, developed as part of the Academy's exploratory pedagogical methodology.
The project investigates creativity, embodiment, and innovative technologies within
a new learning context that brings together architecture, performance, and music.
This is not a dance within a space — it is the space itself that dances.
Here the body moves like a thought through layers of light, memory, and decision. Steps become moves, breath becomes energy, turns open portals. The labyrinth responds: walls flow, lines glow, paths shift. Every movement writes a new choreography into the world.

🎭 Selected young participants (age range: 9–18) will develop a short dance performance for one of three virtual pavilions within the Tarasomnium:
✨ DRACONISNEXORA ✨ LABRARCADIUM ✨ TIME
🎼 Each environment is paired with a specific musical composition, which serves as its performative frame.
🧿 In the Tarasomnium, you do not dance to arrive. You dance to choose.
Nothing stands for something else. Everything is what it does.
Light = Reaction
Space = Response
Movement = Decision
Stillness = Tension
📩 How to Apply
Applicants are invited to submit a video (max. 1 minute) including a brief self --introduction and a choreographic sketch presenting the planned performance in relation to one of the virtual spaces and its music.

This production is part of the A-Academy's hybrid performance in the virtual space Tarasomnium in December 2026.
The Open Call is addressed to all emerging performance and dance artists with
an interest in experimental practice, virtual production, and digital embodiment.

Tanz im Tarasomnium
Die A-Academy lädt Nachwuchs-Performance -- und Tanzkünstler*innen ein, an einem virtuellen Produktionsprojekt teilzunehmen, das im Tarasomnium angesiedelt ist: einem räumlich gedachten Denk- und Erfahrungsraum, der im Rahmen der explorativen pädagogischen Methodik der Akademie entwickelt wurde.
Das Projekt untersucht Kreativität, Verkörperung und innovative Technologien in einem neuen Lernkontext, der Architektur, Performance und Musik miteinander verbindet.
Es ist kein Tanz in einem Raum – sondern der Raum selbst, der tanzt.
Hier bewegt sich der Körper wie ein Gedanke durch Schichten aus Licht, Erinnerung und Entscheidung. Schritte werden zu Zügen, Atem zu Energie, Drehungen öffnen Portale. Das Labyrinth reagiert: Wände fließen, Linien glühen, Wege verschieben sich. Jede Bewegung schreibt eine neue Choreografie in die Welt.

🎭 Ausgewählte junge Bewerber:innen (Altersgruppe: 9–18 Jahre) entwickeln eine kurze Tanzperformance für eine von drei virtuellen Pavilions der Tarasomnium:

🎼 Jeder Umgebung ist eine spezifische musikalische Komposition zugeordnet, die als performativer Rahmen dient.
🧿 Im Tarasomnium tanzt man nicht, um anzukommen. Man tanzt, um zu wählen.
Nichts steht für etwas anderes. Alles ist das, was es tut.

📩 Bewerbung:
Bewerber:Innen werden gebeten, einen Video (Maximal 1 Minute) einzureichen - mit einer kurzen Selbstvorstellung und einer Choreografie-Skizze, in der die geplante Performance in Bezug auf einen ausgewählten virtuellen Raum und dessen Musik vorgestellt wird.
